Our Story

No one was more surprised by the creation of Laurel Elaine Jewelry than I was. Seriously, no one.

From an early age, my passion has always been helping people. In 3rd grade, I volunteered with special needs youth. In my high school psychology class, I decided I would be a therapist. After college, I worked with at risk youth and put myself through graduate school until I finally earned a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

The mental health field can be hard and full of heartbreak. After a particularly difficult week in 2014, I wandered through a craft store and walked out with a handful of brightly colored beads. I was hooked. It wasn't long after that I started Laurel Elaine Jewelry.

For many years, Laurel Elaine Jewelry wasn’t much more than a creative outlet. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with metalsmithing and started to consider the possibility of a career transition. After I had my first daughter, I made the difficult decision to step away from the mental health field and take Laurel Elaine Jewelry full time.

My business now focuses exclusively on dainty and minimal 14k gold filled designs, primarily stacking rings and bangle bracelets. All pieces are handmade by me in a small backyard studio in San Carlos, California. Every piece is thoughtfully designed to pair together to create ring and bangle stacks that are unique and beautiful.

Beyond loving the process of making jewelry, I’m so grateful to be a small part of the special role that jewelry can play in the lives of others. Whether it’s an interlocking ring that represents the bond between friends or a bangle for each year of marriage, it’s an honor to be a small part of celebrating your most cherished relationships.
